وحَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن مسكين قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد الله بن صالح قال حدثني اللَّيْث قال حدثني ابن عَجْلان عن القعقاع بن حكيم وزيد بن أسلم عن أببي صالح عَن أبي هُرَيرة أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال أقبل رجل إلى بئر ليشرب منها وعلى البئر كلب فنزع إحدى خفيه فغرف له فسقاه فشكر الله له فأدخله الجنة اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال أقبل رجل إلى بئر ليشرب منها وعلى البئر كلب فنزع إحدى خفيه فغرف له فسقاه فشكر الله له فأدخله الجنة
English Translation
Abu Kamil narrated to us, he said: Zuhayr narrated to us, he said: Abu Hazim narrated to us from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «There are angels who take turns among you -- angels by night and angels by day. They gather at the Fajr and Asr prayers, then those who spent the night among you ascend and He asks them -- though He knows best about them: In what state did you leave My servants? They say: We left them praying and we came to them praying.»
