حَدَّثنا الحسين بن أبي كبشة قَال حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن يَعْلَى قَال حَدَّثنا عُمَر بن الصبح عن مقاتل بن حيان عَن الأَعرَج عَن أبي هُرَيرة رفعه قال مهور الحور العين قبضات التمر وفلق الخبزوهذا الحديث إنما أراد إذا تصدق وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قبضات التمر وفلق الخبزوهذا الحديث إنما أراد إذا تصدق وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ
English Translation
Al-Husayn ibn Abi Kabshah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ya'la narrated to us, he said: Umar ibn al-Subh narrated to us from Muqatil ibn Hayyan from al-A'raj from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), who attributed it to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who stated: «The dowries of the Houris of Paradise are handfuls of dates and pieces of bread.» This hadith -- he meant when one gives charity. This hadith -- we do not know it to be narrated from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) with this wording except through this route with this chain.
