حَدَّثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيب وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمد واللفظُ لزهير قال أخبرَنا عَبد الرَّزَّاق قال أَخْبَرنا عُبَيد الله بن عُمَر عَن سَعِيد الْمَقْبُرِيّ عَن أبي هُرَيرة أن ثمامة بن أثال أسلم فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنْ يغتسل بماء وسدروَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عُبَيد الله إلاَّ عَبد الرزاق أسلم فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنْ يغتسل بماء وسدروَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عُبَيد الله إلاَّ عَبد الرزاق
English Translation
Salamah ibn Shabib and Zuhair ibn Muhammad narrated to us — and the wording is that of Zuhair — who said: Abd al-Razzaq informed us saying: Ubaid Allah ibn Umar informed us from Said al-Maqburi from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that Thumamah ibn Uthal embraced Islam, so the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded him to perform ritual bathing.
