وحَدَّثَنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَال حَدَّثنا صفوان بن عيسى قَال حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن عَجْلان عَن أَبِيه عَن أبي هُرَيرة قال ذبحت لرسول الله صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم شاة فقال ناولني الذراع فناولته الذراع ثُمَّ قال ناولني الذراع فناولته الذراع ثُمَّ قال ناولني الذراع فقلت يا رَسولَ اللهِ إنما للشاة ذراعان قال إنك لو التمسته وجدته صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم شاة فقال ناولني الذراع فناولته الذراع ثُمَّ قال ناولني الذراع فناولته الذراع ثُمَّ قال ناولني الذراع فقلت يا رَسولَ اللهِ إنما للشاة ذراعان قال إنك لو التمسته وجدته
English Translation
And Amr ibn Ali narrated to us, saying: Safwan ibn Isa narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ajlan narrated to us from his father from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: A sheep was slaughtered for the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he said: "Give me the foreleg." So I gave him the foreleg. Then he said: "Give me the foreleg." So I gave him the foreleg. Then he said: "Give me the foreleg." I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, a sheep only has two forelegs.' He said: "Had you searched for it, you would have found it."
