حَدَّثنا عَبد القدوس بن عَبد الكبير قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد الله بن مسلمة قَال حَدَّثنا أفلح عَن أبي بكر بن مُحَمد بن عَمْرو بن حزم عن سلمان الأغر عَن أبي هُرَيرة أَنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ صلاة الجماعة تعدل خمسا وعشرين من صلاة الفذ وصلاة في مسجدي هذا كألف صَلاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إلاَّ الْمَسْجِدَ الحرام أَحسَبُهُ قال ولاَ يصبر على لأوائها وشدتها أحد يعني المدينة إلاَّ كنت له شَفِيعًا وشهيدا يوم القيامة اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ صلاة الجماعة تعدل خمسا وعشرين من صلاة الفذ وصلاة في مسجدي هذا كألف صَلاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إلاَّ الْمَسْجِدَ الحرام أَحسَبُهُ قال ولاَ يصبر على لأوائها وشدتها أحد يعني المدينة إلاَّ كنت له شَفِيعًا وشهيدا يوم القيامة
English Translation
Abd al-Quddus ibn Abd al-Kabir narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Maslamah narrated to us, saying: Aflah narrated to us from Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazm from Salman al-Agharr from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The congregational prayer equals twenty-five times the prayer of the individual, and a prayer in this mosque of mine is like one thousand prayers in other mosques except al-Masjid al-Haram." I believe he said: "And no one endures its hardship and severity" — meaning Madinah — "except that I will be an intercessor and witness for him on the Day of Resurrection."
