وحَدَّثنا طليق بن مُحَمد قَال حَدَّثنا يزيد قال أَخْبَرنا مُحَمد بن إسحاق عَن موسى بن يسار عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لولا أن أشق على أمتي أن قعدت خلف سرية تغزوا في سبيل الله وَلكن لا أجد سعة فأحملهم ولاَ يجدون سعة فيتبعوني ولاَ تطيب أنفسهم أن يتخلفوا اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لولا أن أشق على أمتي أن قعدت خلف سرية تغزوا في سبيل الله وَلكن لا أجد سعة فأحملهم ولاَ يجدون سعة فيتبعوني ولاَ تطيب أنفسهم أن يتخلفوا
English Translation
And Taliq ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Yazid narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq informed us from Musa ibn Yasar from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Were it not that I would burden my nation, I would not have stayed behind from an expedition fighting in the way of Allah. But I do not find the means to carry them, nor do they find the means to follow me, and their souls are not content to stay behind."
