حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن بَشَّار قَال حَدَّثنا يزيد قال أَخْبَرنا مُحَمد بن عَمْرو عَن أبي سَلَمَة عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فيما يروي عن ربه كل عمل ابن آدم له الحسنة بعشر أمثالها إلى سبعمِئَة ضعف والصيام هو لي وَأنا أجزي به يترك الطعام ويترك الشراب وشهوته من أجلي فهو لي وَأنا أجزي به اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فيما يروي عن ربه كل عمل ابن آدم له الحسنة بعشر أمثالها إلى سبعمِئَة ضعف والصيام هو لي وَأنا أجزي به يترك الطعام ويترك الشراب وشهوته من أجلي فهو لي وَأنا أجزي به
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bashar narrated to us, he said: Yazid narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Amr informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, narrating from his Lord: «Every deed of the son of Adam is for him: a good deed is multiplied ten times up to seven hundred fold. But fasting is for Me, and I shall reward it. He leaves food, drink, and his desire for My sake. So it is for Me, and I shall reward it.»
