وحَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن بَشَّار قَال حَدَّثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أَخْبَرنا مُحَمد بن عَمْرو عَن أبي سَلَمَة عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لولا الهجرة لكنت امْرَءًا من الأنصار ولو سلك الناس واديا أو شعبا وسلكت الأنصار واديا لسلكت وادي الأنصار وشعبهم اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لولا الهجرة لكنت امْرَءًا من الأنصار ولو سلك الناس واديا أو شعبا وسلكت الأنصار واديا لسلكت وادي الأنصار وشعبهم
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bashar narrated to us, he said: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Amr informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Were it not for the Hijrah, I would have been a man of the Ansar. If the people took one valley or mountain pass and the Ansar took another valley, I would take the valley of the Ansar and their mountain pass.»
