وحَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن بَشَّار قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد الوهاب قَال حَدَّثني مُحَمد بن عَمْرو عَن أبي سَلَمَة عَن أبي هُرَيرة أن رجلاً من الأنصار سمع رجلاً من اليهود يقول والذي اصطفى موسى على البشر فرفع يده فلطمه فجاء به إلى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ له فقال الأنصاري إنه قال والذي اصطفى موسى على البشر وأنت فينا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم ينفخ في الصور فيصعق من في السماوات وَمَنْ في الأرض إلاَّ من شاء الله ثُمَّ ينفخ فيه أخرى فأكون أول من يرفع رأسه فإذا موسى آخذ بقائمة من قوائم العرش فلا أدري أكان ممن استثنى الله أو رفع رأسه قبلي وَمَنْ قال أنا خير من يُونُس بن مَتَّى فقد كذب يده فلطمه فجاء به إلى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ له فقال الأنصاري إنه قال والذي اصطفى موسى على البشر وأنت فينا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم ينفخ في الصور فيصعق من في السماوات وَمَنْ في الأرض إلاَّ من شاء الله ثُمَّ ينفخ فيه أخرى فأكون أول من يرفع رأسه فإذا موسى آخذ بقائمة من قوائم العرش فلا أدري أكان ممن استثنى الله أو رفع رأسه قبلي وَمَنْ قال أنا خير من يُونُس بن مَتَّى فقد كذب
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bashar narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Amr narrated to me, from Abu Salamah, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that a man from the Ansar heard a man from the Jews saying: "By the One Who chose Musa over mankind!" He raised his hand and slapped him, then brought him to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and mentioned it to him. The Ansari said: "He said 'By the One Who chose Musa over mankind' while you are among us." The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The Trumpet will be blown and everyone in the heavens and on the earth will be struck unconscious except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown a second time, and I will be the first to raise his head. There I will find Musa holding onto a pillar of the Throne. I do not know whether he was among those whom Allah exempted, or he raised his head before me.» And: «Whoever says 'I am better than Yunus ibn Matta' has lied.»
