حَدَّثنا أحمد بن الفرج قَال حَدَّثنا أيوب بن سُوَيْد عن يُونُس عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن سَعِيد بن الْمُسَيَّب عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لتتركنها يعني المدينة على خير ما كانت مذللة للعواف يعني السباع والطير عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لتتركنها يعني المدينة على خير ما كانت مذللة للعواف يعني السباع والطير
English Translation
Ahmad ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: Ayyub ibn Suwayd narrated to us, from Yunus, from az-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): «You will certainly leave it» — meaning Madinah — «in the best state it has ever been, accessible to the roaming beasts» — meaning wild animals and birds.
