حَدَّثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم حَدَّثنا أَبُو داود حَدَّثنا شُعْبَةُ عَن قَتادة عَن أَنَس أَنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أُتِيَ بِحُلَّةِ سُنْدُسٍ فَعَجِبَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مِنْهَا فَقَالَ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذِهِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا بِحُلَّةِ سُنْدُسٍ فَعَجِبَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مِنْهَا فَقَالَ أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذِهِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا
English Translation
Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us: Abu Dawud narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us from Qatadah from Anas that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was brought a garment of brocade (sundus). The Companions of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) were amazed by it. He stated: «Are you amazed by this? By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise are better than it.»
