حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِلَّا الْعَصْرَ وَالصُّبْحَ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى هَذَا الْكَلَامَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا عَلِيٌّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ يُصَلِّي فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِلَّا الْعَصْرَ وَالصُّبْحَ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى هَذَا الْكَلَامَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا عَلِيٌّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ
English Translation
Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that he used to pray two rak'ahs after every obligatory prayer, except Asr and Fajr. We do not know this statement to be narrated from the Prophet except from Ali through the hadith of Asim ibn Ali.
