Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثنا أحمد بن عبدة أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثابتٍ عَن أَنَس أَن رَسولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم رَأَى عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَثَرَ صُفْرَةٍ فقال مه أو ما هذا قال يارسول اللَّهِ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ قَالَ بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بشاة
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The son of Adam has two valleys of wealth, yet he desires a third. Nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust. Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: «ابن آدم کے پاس دو وادیاں مال کی ہوں تو وہ تیسری کی خواہش کرتا ہے۔ ابن آدم کے پیٹ کو مٹی کے سوا کچھ نہیں بھرتا۔ اللہ توبہ کرنے والے کی توبہ قبول فرماتا ہے۔»
