حَدَّثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بن الصباح العطار حَدَّثنا محبوب بن الحسن حَدَّثنا خَالِدٌ الحَذَّاء عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا هَلْ قَنَتَ عُمَر قَالَ قَنَتَ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ عُمَر قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّموَلا نَعْلَمُ أَسْنَدَ خَالِدٌ عَن ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَن أَنَس إلاَّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيد عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَن أَنَس خَيْرٌ مِنْ عُمَر قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّموَلا نَعْلَمُ أَسْنَدَ خَالِدٌ عَن ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَن أَنَس إلاَّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيد عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَن أَنَس
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us: 'Amr ibn 'Asim narrated to us: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us from Thabit from Anas from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «I was taken to the Lote Tree (Sidrat al-Muntaha), and upon it were four rivers — two apparent and two hidden. As for the two apparent ones, they are the Nile and the Euphrates. And as for the two hidden ones, they are two rivers in Paradise.»
