حَدَّثنا عبدة بن عبد الله القسملي أخبرنا عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث حَدَّثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ قَالَ قَامَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَوْ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ إِلَى الْحَسَنِ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ إِنَّا نَسْمَعُ مِنْكَ أَحَادِيثَ تُحَدِّثُ بِهَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْنِدْهَا لَنَا فَقَالَ سَلْ عَمَّا بَدَا لَكَ فَقَالَ حَدِيثُ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ وَكان امْرَأَ صِدْقٍ عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَقَامُوا وَقَالُوا كِدْنَا نَغْلِبُ عَلَى هَذَا الشَّيْخِ
English Translation
Abdah ibn Abdullah al-Qasmali informed us, Abd al-Samad ibn Abd al-Warith narrated to us, Mubarak ibn Fadalah narrated to us, he said: Ismail ibn Ibrahim or Ibrahim ibn Ismail stood up to al-Hasan and said: 'O Abu Said, indeed we hear hadiths from you that you narrate from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), so give us their chains.' He said: 'Ask about what appears to you.' He said: 'The hadith of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about the establishment of the Hour.' He said: 'Anas ibn Malik narrated to me from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated to me from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and Abdullah ibn Qudamah - who was a truthful man - narrated to me from al-Aswad ibn Sari from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).' He said: Then they stood and said: 'We almost overcame this old man.'
