حَدَّثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ ومُحَمد بْنُ يحيي القطعي قَالاَ حَدَّثنَا الحجاج بن المنهال حَدَّثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ كَانَ أَبُو زِيَادٍ يُنْكِرُ الْحَوْضَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَوْضِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَنَسٍ فَسَأَلَهُ قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ لِي حَوْضًا من كذا إلى كذا عوف عن الحسن عَنْهُ لَهُ إِنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَوْضِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَنَسٍ فَسَأَلَهُ قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ لِي حَوْضًا من كذا إلى كذا عوف عن الحسن عَنْهُ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Marzuq ibn Bukayr and Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Qati narrated to us, they said: al-Hajjaj ibn al-Minhal narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from al-Hasan who said: Abu Ziyad used to deny the Hawd (the Pond). It was said to him that Anas ibn Malik narrates from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about the Hawd. So he sent to Anas and asked him. Anas said: I said, 'Indeed, I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: Indeed, I have a pond from such-and-such to such-and-such.' Awf narrated from al-Hasan, from him.
