وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ قَالَ كَانَتْ صَلاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَقَارِبَةً وَصَلاةُ أَبِي بَكْر وَانْبَسَطَ عُمَر فِي صَلاةِ الغداة اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَقَارِبَةً وَصَلاةُ أَبِي بَكْر وَانْبَسَطَ عُمَر فِي صَلاةِ الغداة
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us: Abu Dawud narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us from Qatadah from Anas that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «When one of you is in his prayer, he is privately conversing with his Lord, so let him not spit in front of him nor to his right, but rather to his left or under his foot.»
