English Translation
Tulayq ibn Muhammad al-Wasiti narrated to us: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Ishaq informed us from Hafs who said: When Anas ibn Malik intended to combine two prayers while traveling, he would delay the Dhuhr until the end of its time and then pray it, and he would pray 'Asr at the beginning of its time. He would pray Maghrib at the end of its time and pray 'Isha at the beginning of its time, saying: This is how the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to combine the two prayers while traveling. This hadith, we do not know of anyone who corroborated Hafs ibn 'Ubaydillah in his narration of this, and al-Zuhri narrated it differently from what Hafs narrated.
