حَدَّثنا محمد بن الحسن حَدَّثنا هانيء بن المتوكل حَدَّثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ عَن أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ اسْتَوْجَبَ الثَّوَابَ وَاسْتَكْمَلَ الإِيمَانَ خُلُقٌ يَعِيشُ بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ وَوَرَعٌ يَحْجِزُهُ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ اللَّهِ وَحِلْمٌ يَرُدُّ بِهِ جَهْلَ الْجَاهِلِ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ اسْتَوْجَبَ الثَّوَابَ وَاسْتَكْمَلَ الإِيمَانَ خُلُقٌ يَعِيشُ بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ وَوَرَعٌ يَحْجِزُهُ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ اللَّهِ وَحِلْمٌ يَرُدُّ بِهِ جَهْلَ الْجَاهِلِ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Hasan narrated to us: Hani' ibn al-Mutawakkil narrated to us: Abdullah ibn Sulayman narrated to us from Ishaq from Anas who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Three things, whoever has them has earned the reward and perfected faith: good character by which he lives among people, piety that restrains him from the prohibitions of Allah, and forbearance by which he repels the ignorance of the ignorant.»
