حَدَّثنا زَيْد بْنُ أَخْزَم أَبُو طَالِبٍ الطَّائِيُّ حَدَّثنا عُمَر بن يُونُس حَدَّثنا عكرمة بن عمار حَدَّثنا إِسْحَاقُ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسٌ قَالَ كَانَتْ عِنْدَ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ يَتِيمَةٌ فَرَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْيَتِيمَةَ فَقَالَ قَدْ كَبِرْتِ لا كبرت سِنُّكِ فَرَجَعَتِ الْيَتِيمَةُ إِلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ تَبْكِي فقالت أم سليم مالك يَا بُنَيَّةُ قَالَت دَعَا عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَّا يَكْبَرَ سِنِّي فَخَرَجَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ حَتَّى لَقِيَتْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ الله صلي الله عليه وسلم مالك يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَتْ يَا رَسولَ اللهِ دَعَوْتَ عَلَى يَتِيمَتِي أَلَّا يَكْبَرَ سِنُّهَا قَالَ فَضَحِكَ رَسُول اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أَمَا تَعْلَمِينَ شَرْطِي عَلَى رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِنِّي اشْتَرَطْتُ عَلَى رَبِّي فَقُلْتُ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَرْضَى كَمَا يَرْضَى الْبَشَرُ وَأَغْضَبُ كَمَا يَغْضَبُ الْبَشَرُ فَأَيُّمَا أَحَدٍ دَعَوْتُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي بِدَعْوَةٍ لَيْسَ لَهَا بِأَهْلٍ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا لَهُ طَهُورًا وَزَكَاةً وَقُرْبَةً يُقَرِّبُهُ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ إلاَّ عكرمة الْيَتِيمَةَ فَقَالَ قَدْ كَبِرْتِ لا كبرت سِنُّكِ فَرَجَعَتِ الْيَتِيمَةُ إِلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ تَبْكِي فقالت أم سليم مالك يَا بُنَيَّةُ قَالَت دَعَا عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَّا يَكْبَرَ سِنِّي فَخَرَجَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ حَتَّى لَقِيَتْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ الله صلي الله عليه وسلم مالك يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَتْ يَا رَسولَ اللهِ دَعَوْتَ عَلَى يَتِيمَتِي أَلَّا يَكْبَرَ سِنُّهَا قَالَ فَضَحِكَ رَسُول اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أَمَا تَعْلَمِينَ شَرْطِي عَلَى رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِنِّي اشْتَرَطْتُ عَلَى رَبِّي فَقُلْتُ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَرْضَى كَمَا يَرْضَى الْبَشَرُ وَأَغْضَبُ كَمَا يَغْضَبُ الْبَشَرُ فَأَيُّمَا أَحَدٍ دَعَوْتُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي بِدَعْوَةٍ لَيْسَ لَهَا بِأَهْلٍ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا لَهُ طَهُورًا وَزَكَاةً وَقُرْبَةً يُقَرِّبُهُ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ إلاَّ عكرمة
English Translation
Zayd ibn Akhzam Abu Talib al-Ta'i narrated to us: Umar ibn Yunus narrated to us: Ikrimah ibn Ammar narrated to us: Ishaq narrated to us: Anas narrated to me, saying: There was an orphan girl with Umm Sulaym. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saw the orphan girl and said: «You have grown! May your age not increase!» The orphan girl returned to Umm Sulaym crying. Umm Sulaym said: What is the matter, my dear? She said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) prayed against me that my age would not increase. So Umm Sulaym went out until she met the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). He said to her: «What is the matter, O Umm Sulaym?» She said: O Messenger of Allah, you prayed against my orphan girl that her age would not increase. He laughed and then said: «O Umm Sulaym, do you not know my condition with my Lord, Mighty and Majestic? I stipulated with my Lord and said: I am only a human being — I am pleased as humans are pleased and I become angry as humans become angry. So whichever member of my Ummah I pray against with a supplication that he does not deserve, make it for him a purification, a means of spiritual growth, and a source of nearness that brings him closer on the Day of Resurrection.» This hadith, we do not know of anyone who narrated it from Ishaq except Ikrimah.
