حَدَّثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ومُحَمد بْنُ مَعْمَر قالاَ حَدَّثنا عُبَيد الله بن موسى حَدَّثنا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَن صَدَقَةَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَن ابْنِ عُمَر قَالَ كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بَيْتٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَعْتَكِفُ فِيهِ فِي آخِرِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَكان يُصَلِّي فِيهِ فَأَخْرَجَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمُصَلِّي يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ فَلْيَنْظُرْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِمَا يُنَاجِيهِ ولاَ يَجْهَرْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى إلاَّ عَن ابْنِ عُمَر ولاَ نَعلم لَهُ طَرِيقًا عَن ابْنِ عُمَر إلاَّ هذا الطريق اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بَيْتٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَعْتَكِفُ فِيهِ فِي آخِرِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَكان يُصَلِّي فِيهِ فَأَخْرَجَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمُصَلِّي يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ فَلْيَنْظُرْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِمَا يُنَاجِيهِ ولاَ يَجْهَرْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى إلاَّ عَن ابْنِ عُمَر ولاَ نَعلم لَهُ طَرِيقًا عَن ابْنِ عُمَر إلاَّ هذا الطريق
English Translation
Uqbah ibn Mukram and Muhammad ibn Ma'mar narrated to us, they said: Ubaydullah ibn Musa narrated to us, Ibn Abi Layla narrated to us from Sadaqah ibn Yasar from Ibn Umar who said: The Prophet ﷺ had a chamber in the mosque where he would perform i'tikaf during the last part of Ramadan. He used to pray in it, and he put his head out of it and said: "The one who is praying is privately conversing with his Lord, so let each of you be mindful of what he converses with Him about, and let not some of you raise your voices over others." This hadith, we do not know it to be narrated except from Ibn Umar, and we do not know any chain for it from Ibn Umar except this chain.
