حَدَّثنا يَحْيَى بن المعلى بن منصور حَدَّثنا الحكم بن نافع حَدَّثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَن يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيد عَن نافعٍ عَن ابْنِ عُمَر قَالَ كُنَّا نَقُولُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وعُثمَان ثُمَّ لا نُفَاضِلُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وعُثمَان ثُمَّ لا نُفَاضِلُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ
English Translation
Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us saying: Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us from Thawr ibn Yazid from Khalid ibn Ma'dan from Abu Dharr (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Allah, Blessed and Exalted, says: «Whoever comes with a good deed will have ten times its like, and I will add more. And whoever comes with an evil deed will have only its like, or I will forgive. And whoever draws near to Me by a hand's span, I will draw near to him by an arm's length. And whoever draws near to Me by an arm's length, I will draw near to him by a fathom. And whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running. And whoever meets Me with sins nearly as great as the earth, not associating anything with Me, I will meet him with forgiveness nearly as great as that.»
