حَدَّثنا القاسم بن وهب قَال حَدَّثنا الحسن بن عطية قَال حَدَّثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَن عَبد الأَعْلَى عَن سَعِيد بْنِ جُبَير عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم كَانَ يقرأ في الوتر في الركعة الأولى بـ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى والثانية بـ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ والثَّالِثة قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم كَانَ يقرأ في الوتر في الركعة الأولى بـ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى والثانية بـ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ والثَّالِثة قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
English Translation
Al-Qasim ibn Wahb narrated to us, he said: al-Hasan ibn Atiyyah narrated to us, he said: Isra'il narrated to us, from Abd al-A'la, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite in the Witr prayer: in the first rak'ah 'Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High' (Surah al-A'la), in the second 'Say: O disbelievers' (Surah al-Kafirun), and in the third 'Say: He is Allah, the One' (Surah al-Ikhlas).
