حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ رَاكِعًا أَوْ سَاجِدًا وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَيْضًا إِلَّا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ رَاكِعًا أَوْ سَاجِدًا وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَيْضًا إِلَّا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak al-Mukharrimi narrated to us saying: Abd ar-Razzaq narrated to us from Ma'mar from Hammam ibn Munabbih who said: This is what Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) - and he mentioned hadiths, among them: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, though there is good in both. Be keen on what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not be helpless. If something befalls you, do not say: If only I had done such-and-such. Rather say: Allah has decreed, and what He wills He does. For verily, if (only) opens the door to Satan's work.'
