English Translation
Narrated Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him): The war cry of the Muhajirun was 'Abdullah' and the war cry of the Ansar was 'Abd al-Rahman' — meaning in battle during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This hadith, we do not know anyone who narrated it from Qatadah from al-Hasan from Samurah except al-Hajjaj ibn Arta'ah.
