حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن مَعْمَر قَال حَدَّثنا روح بن عبادة قَال حَدَّثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم قَال حَدَّثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيدة عَن أَبيهِ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ ضمر رسول اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخَيْلَ وَوَقَّتَ لإِضْمَارِهَا وَقْتًا وَقال يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنْ مَوْضِعِ كَذَا وكذا وأرسل الخيل التي ليست بمضمرة مِنْ دُونِ ذَلِكَوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن بُرَيدة إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ولاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ إلاَّ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ ضمر رسول اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخَيْلَ وَوَقَّتَ لإِضْمَارِهَا وَقْتًا وَقال يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنْ مَوْضِعِ كَذَا وكذا وأرسل الخيل التي ليست بمضمرة مِنْ دُونِ ذَلِكَوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن بُرَيدة إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ولاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ إلاَّ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ma'mar narrated to us, he said: Rawh ibn Ubada narrated to us, he said: Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: Salih ibn Hayyan narrated to us from Abdullah ibn Burayda from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had horses prepared for racing and set a time for their training. He said: "On such-and-such day from such-and-such place." And he released the horses that were not specially prepared from a closer place. This hadith, we do not know it to be narrated from Burayda except through this route, and we do not know anyone who narrated it from Salih ibn Hayyan except Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim.
