حَدَّثنا القاسم بن مُحَمد المروزي قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثمان عَن عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيد قَال سَمعتُ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنَ بُرَيدة يُحَدِّثُ عَن أَبيهِ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَسِيرُ إِذْ سَمِعَ لَغَطًا فَقَالَ مَا هذا الصوت قالوا يانبي الله قوم لهم شارب يَشْرَبُونَهُ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى الْقَوْمِ فَدَعَاهُمْ فَقَالَ لا تَشْرَبُوا إلاَّ مَا أَوْكَيْتُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ اشْرَبُوا وكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَسِيرُ إِذْ سَمِعَ لَغَطًا فَقَالَ مَا هذا الصوت قالوا يانبي الله قوم لهم شارب يَشْرَبُونَهُ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى الْقَوْمِ فَدَعَاهُمْ فَقَالَ لا تَشْرَبُوا إلاَّ مَا أَوْكَيْتُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ اشْرَبُوا وكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ
English Translation
Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al-Marwazi narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Uthman narrated to us from Isa ibn Ubayd who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Burayda narrating from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), while he was traveling, heard a commotion and said: "What is this noise?" They said: "O Prophet of Allah, some people who have a drink and are drinking it." He sent for the people and called them and said: "Do not drink except from what you have sealed." Then he said: "Drink, and every intoxicant is forbidden."
