حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بْنُ بَشَّار بُندَار وَبِشْرُ بْنُ آدم قَالاَ حَدَّثنَا حرمي بن عمارة قَال حَدَّثنا شُعْبَةُ عَن عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَن سُلَيمان بْنِ بُرَيدة عَن أَبيهِ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم كَانَ إِذَا مَرَّ عَلَى الْقُبُورِ قَالَ السَّلامُ عَلَى دِيَارِ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لاحِقُونَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ لَنَا وَلَكُمْ ورحمنا وإياكم عَلَيه وَسَلَّم كَانَ إِذَا مَرَّ عَلَى الْقُبُورِ قَالَ السَّلامُ عَلَى دِيَارِ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لاحِقُونَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ لَنَا وَلَكُمْ ورحمنا وإياكم
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bashshar Bundar and Bishr ibn Adam narrated to us, they said: Harami ibn Umara narrated to us, he said: Shu'ba narrated to us from Alqama ibn Marthad from Sulayman ibn Burayda from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say when he passed by graves: "Peace be upon the dwellings of a believing people. And we, if Allah wills, shall join you. May Allah the Almighty forgive us and you, and have mercy on us and you."
