حَدَّثنا العباس بن جعفر قَال حَدَّثنا إسحاق بن منصور قَال حَدَّثنا نَاصِحٌ أَبُو عَبد اللَّهِ عَن سِمَاك عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرة رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ لأَنْ يُؤَدِّبَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلَدَهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نعلَمُ أحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ سِمَاك إلاَّ ناصح اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ لأَنْ يُؤَدِّبَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلَدَهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نعلَمُ أحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ سِمَاك إلاَّ ناصح
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who said: «That one of you should discipline his child is better for him than giving half a sa' in charity every day.» This hadith is not known to have been narrated from Simak except by Nasih.
