حَدَّثنا العباس بن عَبد العظيم قَال حَدَّثنا عَمْرو بن طلحة قَال حَدَّثنا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ عَنْ سِمَاك يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرة رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم صَلاةَ الأُولَى ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَاسْتَقْبَلَهُ وِلْدَانُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَجَعَلَ يَمْسَحُ خَدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ فَأَمَّا أَنَا فَمَسَحَ خَدِّي فَوَجَدْتُ بَرْدَ يَدِهِ وَرِيحًا كَأَنَّمَا كَانَتْ فِي جُؤْنَةِ عِطَّارٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم صَلاةَ الأُولَى ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَاسْتَقْبَلَهُ وِلْدَانُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَجَعَلَ يَمْسَحُ خَدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ فَأَمَّا أَنَا فَمَسَحَ خَدِّي فَوَجَدْتُ بَرْدَ يَدِهِ وَرِيحًا كَأَنَّمَا كَانَتْ فِي جُؤْنَةِ عِطَّارٍ
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: I prayed the first [Dhuhr] prayer with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Then he went out to his family, and the children of the people of Madinah came to greet him. He began stroking the cheek of each one. As for me, he stroked my cheek, and I felt the coolness of his hand and a fragrance as if it came from the casket of a perfumer.
