حَدَّثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ الْمُثَنَّى قَال حَدَّثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ قَال حَدَّثنا شُعْبَةُ عَن سِمَاك بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرة رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم سَمَّى الْمَدِينَةَ طَابَةَ اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم سَمَّى الْمَدِينَةَ طَابَةَ
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) named the city of Madinah "Tabah" [the Good].
