حَدَّثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ الْمُثَنَّى قَال حَدَّثنا أَبُو الوليد قَال حَدَّثنا شُعْبَةُ عَن عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ قَال سَمعتُ أبي يحدث أَنَّ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم صَلَّى بِهِمْ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَنْزَةٌ الظُّهْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَالْعَصْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَتَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ الْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم صَلَّى بِهِمْ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَنْزَةٌ الظُّهْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَالْعَصْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَتَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ الْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) led them in prayer at al-Batha with a short spear [anzah] before him — the Dhuhr in two rak'ahs and the Asr in two rak'ahs — and women and donkeys would pass before him [beyond the spear].
