حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْبَحْرَانِيُّ قَالَ نَا عُوبَدُ بْنُ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زُرْ غِبًّا تَزْدَدْ حُبًّا وَهَذَا الْكَلَامُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ إِلَّا ابْنَهُ عُوبَدَ وَعُوبَدُ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ وَاحْتَمَلُوا حَدِيثَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زُرْ غِبًّا تَزْدَدْ حُبًّا وَهَذَا الْكَلَامُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ إِلَّا ابْنَهُ عُوبَدَ وَعُوبَدُ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ وَاحْتَمَلُوا حَدِيثَهُ
English Translation
Al-'Abbas ibn Yazid al-Bahrani narrated to us, he said: 'Ubad ibn Abi 'Imran al-Jawni narrated to us, from his father, from 'Abd Allah ibn al-Samit, from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Visit intermittently and you will increase in love. This statement is not known to be narrated from Abu Dharr except through this route, and we do not know anyone who narrated it from Abu 'Imran except his son 'Ubad. 'Ubad was not strong [in narration], though scholars narrated from him and accepted his hadith.
