حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ قَالَ نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ قَالَ نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ تُبْرِئُ ذِمَّتِي وَتَقْتُلُ عَلَى سُنَّتِي اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ تُبْرِئُ ذِمَّتِي وَتَقْتُلُ عَلَى سُنَّتِي
English Translation
Abbad narrated to us, he said: Ali ibn Hashim narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ubaydullah ibn Abi Rafi' narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Ali before his death: "You will fulfill my covenant and fight upon my Sunnah."
