English Translation
Abd al-Wahid ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, he said: Mahdi ibn Maymun narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Wazi' narrated to us, from Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent a man to a tribe among the Arab tribes, and they insulted and beat him. He came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him. The Prophet said: "Had you gone to the people of Oman, they would not have beaten you nor insulted you." This hadith is not known to be narrated with this wording except from Abu Barzah from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and a similar narration has been reported from Ibn Umar with different wording.
