وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِي عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ نَا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَا مُخَارِقٌ عَنْ طَارِقٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا سَعْدُ عَلَيْكَ السَّمْعَ وَالطَّاعَةَ فِي عُسْرِكَ وَيُسْرِكَ وَمَنْشَطِكَ وَمَكْرَهِكَ وَأَثَرَةً عَلَيْكَ وَأَنْ لَا تُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَدْعُوكَ إِلَى خِلَافِ مَا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ دَعَوْكَ إِلَى خِلَافِ مَا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَاتَّبِعْ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَهَذَا ا��ْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ كَلَامَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَإِنَّمَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ لِعِزَّةِ رِوَايَتِهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحُصَيْنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ لَيِّنُ الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ وَاحْتَمَلُوهُ عَلَى مَا فِيهِ حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَا مُخَارِقٌ عَنْ طَارِقٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا سَعْدُ عَلَيْكَ السَّمْعَ وَالطَّاعَةَ فِي عُسْرِكَ وَيُسْرِكَ وَمَنْشَطِكَ وَمَكْرَهِكَ وَأَثَرَةً عَلَيْكَ وَأَنْ لَا تُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَدْعُوكَ إِلَى خِلَافِ مَا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ دَعَوْكَ إِلَى خِلَافِ مَا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَاتَّبِعْ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ كَلَامَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَإِنَّمَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ لِعِزَّةِ رِوَايَتِهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحُصَيْنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ لَيِّنُ الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ وَاحْتَمَلُوهُ عَلَى مَا فِيهِ
English Translation
I found in my book from Ziyad ibn Ayyub, he said: Husayn ibn Umar narrated to us, he said: Mukhariq narrated to us, from Tariq, from Sa'd ibn Ubadah, may Allah be well pleased with him, from the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, who said: "O Sa'd, upon you is hearing and obedience in your hardship and your ease, in what you like and what you dislike, and even when others are preferred over you, and that you do not dispute authority with those who hold it, unless they call you to what contradicts the Book of Allah. If they call you to what contradicts the Book of Allah, then follow the Book of Allah." He said: This hadith - similar wording has been narrated from the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, through multiple routes. We do not know it to be narrated from Sa'd ibn Ubadah except through this route. We mentioned it from Sa'd ibn Ubadah because of the rarity of his narrations from the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him. Husayn ibn Umar is weak in hadith, but the people of knowledge narrated from him and tolerated him despite what is in him.
