حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ نَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ قَالَ نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ اجْمَعْ لِي قَوْمَكَ فَجَمَعَهُمْ عُمَرُ عِنْدَ بَيْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُدْخِلُهُمْ عَلَيْكَ أَوْ تَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ بَلْ أَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ فَأَتَاهُمْ فَقَالَ هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قَالُوا نَعَمْ فِينَا حُلَفَاؤُنَا وَفِينَا أَبْنَاءُ أَخَواتِنَا وَفِينَا مَوَالِينَا فَقَالَ حُلَفَاؤُنَا مِنَّا وَبَنُو أُخْتِنَا مِنَّا وَمَوَالِينَا مِنَّا وَأَنْتُمْ أَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ أَنَّ أَوْلِيَائِيَ مِنْكُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ فَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ أُولَئِكَ فَذَلِكَ وَإِلَّا فَانْظُرُوا أَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَ النَّاسُ بِالْأَعْمَالِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَتَأْتُونَ بِالْأَثْقَالِ فَيُعْرَضُ عَنْكُمْ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا أَهْلُ أَمَانَةٍ فَمَنْ بَغَاهُمُ الْعَوَائِرَ أَكَبَّهُ اللَّهُ بِمَنْخِرَيْهِ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا قَالَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ يَرْوِيهِ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا رِفَاعَةُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَهَذَا الطَّرِيقُ عَنْهُ مِنْ حِسَانِ الْأَسَانِيدِ الَّتِي تُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ وَقَدْ رَوَى وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْضَ كَلَامِهِ وَحَدِيثُ بِشْرٍ أَتَمُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ لِي قَوْمَكَ فَجَمَعَهُمْ عُمَرُ عِنْدَ بَيْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُدْخِلُهُمْ عَلَيْكَ أَوْ تَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ بَلْ أَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ فَأَتَاهُمْ فَقَالَ هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قَالُوا نَعَمْ فِينَا حُلَفَاؤُنَا وَفِينَا أَبْنَاءُ أَخَواتِنَا وَفِينَا مَوَالِينَا فَقَالَ حُلَفَاؤُنَا مِنَّا وَبَنُو أُخْتِنَا مِنَّا وَمَوَالِينَا مِنَّا وَأَنْتُمْ أَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ أَنَّ أَوْلِيَائِيَ مِنْكُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ فَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ أُولَئِكَ فَذَلِكَ وَإِلَّا فَانْظُرُوا أَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَ النَّاسُ بِالْأَعْمَالِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَتَأْتُونَ بِالْأَثْقَالِ فَيُعْرَضُ عَنْكُمْ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا أَهْلُ أَمَانَةٍ فَمَنْ بَغَاهُمُ الْعَوَائِرَ أَكَبَّهُ اللَّهُ بِمَنْخِرَيْهِ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا قَالَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ يَرْوِيهِ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا رِفَاعَةُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ وَهَذَا الطَّرِيقُ عَنْهُ مِنْ حِسَانِ الْأَسَانِيدِ الَّتِي تُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ وَقَدْ رَوَى وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْضَ كَلَامِهِ وَحَدِيثُ بِشْرٍ أَتَمُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abd al-Malik narrated to us, he said: Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Uthman ibn Khuthaym narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Ubayd ibn Rifa'ah, from his father, from his grandfather, may Allah be well pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, said to Umar: "Gather your people for me." Umar gathered them at the house of the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, then he entered upon him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall I bring them in to you or will you go out to them?" He said: "Rather, I will go out to them." He came to them and said: "Is there anyone among you who is not one of you?" They said: "Yes, among us are our allies, the sons of our sisters, and our freed slaves." He said: "Our allies are from us, the sons of our sisters are from us, and our freed slaves are from us. And you - do you not hear that my allies among you are the God-fearing? If you are those, then that is so. Otherwise, beware lest the people come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds while you come with burdens, and you are turned away." Then he raised his hands and said: "O people, indeed Quraysh are people of trustworthiness. Whoever seeks to harm them, Allah will cast him down on his face." He said this three times. He said: This hadith - we do not know anyone who narrates it with this wording except Rifa'ah ibn Rafi'. This route from him is among the good chains narrated regarding this. Waki' narrated from Sufyan, from Ibn Khuthaym, from Isma'il ibn Ubayd, from his father, from his grandfather, from the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, some of his words. The hadith of Bishr is more complete than the hadith of Sufyan.
