حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ دِحْيَةَ الزِّيَادِيُّ قَالَ نا قَزَعَةُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ مَخْلَدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثَ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَضَ بَيْتَ شِعْرٍ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهُ صَلَاةٌ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا شَدَّادٌ وَلَا لَهُ طَرِيقًا عَنْ شَدَّادٍ إِلَّا هَذَا الطَّرِيقَ وَعَاصِمُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى عَنْهُ إِلَّا قَزَعَةُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ وَقَزَعَةُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَحَدَّثَ عَنْهُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ وَاحْتَمَلُوا حَدِيثَهُ وَحَدَّثَ عَنْهُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ وَغَيْرُهُ بَيْتَ شِعْرٍ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهُ صَلَاةٌ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا شَدَّادٌ وَلَا لَهُ طَرِيقًا عَنْ شَدَّادٍ إِلَّا هَذَا الطَّرِيقَ وَعَاصِمُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى عَنْهُ إِلَّا قَزَعَةُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ وَقَزَعَةُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَحَدَّثَ عَنْهُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ وَاحْتَمَلُوا حَدِيثَهُ وَحَدَّثَ عَنْهُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ وَغَيْرُهُ
English Translation
Bishr ibn Dihyah al-Ziyadi narrated to us, he said: Qaza'ah ibn Suwayd al-Bahili narrated to us from Asim ibn Makhlad from Abu al-Ash'ath al-San'ani from Shaddad ibn Aws (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'Whoever composes a verse of poetry after the Isha prayer, his prayer will not be accepted that night.' This hadith — we do not know it to be narrated from the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) except through this chain, and we do not know of anyone who narrated it from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) except Shaddad, and there is no chain from Shaddad except this chain. Asim ibn Makhlad — we do not know of anyone who narrated from him except Qaza'ah ibn Suwayd. Qaza'ah is a man from the people of Basrah; there is nothing wrong with him, though he was not strong. The people of knowledge narrated from him and accepted his hadith, and Yazid ibn Harun and others narrated this hadith from him.
