أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَثْمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ مِنْ زَلَّةِ عَالِمٍ وَمِنْ هَوًى مُتَّبَعٍ وَمِنْ حُكْمٍ جَائِرٍ
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Yahya narrated to us, he said: Ubaydullah narrated to us, he said: Isra'il narrated to us from al-Shaybani from Hadrat Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: We were with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on a journey, and he was fasting. When the sun set, he said to a man: «Dismount and mix some sawiq for us.» He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, if only you would wait until evening.' He said: «Dismount and mix some sawiq for us.» He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, it is still daytime.' He said: «Dismount and mix some sawiq for us.» So he dismounted and mixed it, then the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) drank. Then he said: «When you see the night has come from here—and he pointed with his hand towards the east—then the one who is fasting has broken his fast.»
Urdu Translation
احمد بن یحییٰ نے ہمیں خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا: عبیداللہ نے ہمیں خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا: اسرائیل نے ہمیں شیبانی سے خبر دی، انہوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن ابی اوفیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے، انہوں نے فرمایا: ہم حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں تھے اور آپ روزے سے تھے۔ جب سورج غروب ہوا تو آپ نے ایک آدمی سے فرمایا: «اتر اور ہمارے لیے ستو گھول۔» اس نے کہا: 'یا رسول اللہ! اگر آپ شام تک انتظار فرما لیتے۔' آپ نے فرمایا: «اتر اور ہمارے لیے ستو گھول۔» اس نے کہا: 'یا رسول اللہ! ابھی دن ہے۔' آپ نے فرمایا: «اتر اور ہمارے لیے ستو گھول۔» تو وہ اترا اور اس نے گھولا، پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے پیا۔ پھر فرمایا: «جب تم دیکھو کہ رات یہاں سے آ گئی ہے — اور آپ نے اپنے ہاتھ سے مشرق کی طرف اشارہ کیا — تو روزہ دار نے اپنا روزہ افطار کر لیا۔»
