أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو وَأَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ ثنا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عُمَرَ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us saying: Abd ar-Rahman narrated to us saying: Sufyan narrated to us from Mansur from Ibrahim from Alqamah from Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how much is loved by Allah, the Mighty and Majestic?' He said: 'Whoever is merciful - even to a sheep that he slaughters - Allah will have mercy on him.'
