حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ بُهْلُولٍ الْأَنْبَارِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَخَذَ مَضْجَعَهُ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُهُ عَنْهُ فِي مَوْضِعٍ وَرَأَيْتُهُ فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا أَخَذَ مَضْجَعَهُ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَحْيَا وَبِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَإِذَا قَامَ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَمَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
English Translation
'Amr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, from Yahya, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Abu al-'Abbas, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with them), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said: 'The merciful ones are shown mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on earth, and the One in heaven will be merciful to you.'
