حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الصَّائِغُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَيُّوبُ بْنُ أَبِي زَيْدٍ أَبُو يَزِيدَ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ الْقَلَمُ فَقَالَ لَهُ اجْرِ فَجَرَى بِمَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنْ مُتَّ عَلَى غَيْرِ هَذَا دَخَلْتَ النَّارَ
English Translation
Ibrahim ibn Ziyad al-Sa'igh narrated to us, he said: Zayd ibn al-Hubab informed us, he said: Mu'awiyah ibn Salih informed us, he said: Ayyub ibn Abi Zayd Abu Yazid narrated to me, from 'Ubadah ibn al-Walid ibn 'Ubadah, from his father, from his grandfather 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'The first thing Allah created was the Pen. He said to it: Write. It said: What shall I write? He said: Write the decree of all things until the Hour is established.'
