حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ نا صَفْوَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ قَالَ نا الْوَلِيدُ قَالَ نا حَنْظَلَةُ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ رَآهُ يُقَبِّلُ الْحَجَرَ وَيَقُولُ لَوْلَا أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَبِّلُكَ مَا قَبَّلْتُكَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ إِلَّا الْوَلِيدُ فَإِنَّهُ وَصَلَهُ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَبِّلُكَ مَا قَبَّلْتُكَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ إِلَّا الْوَلِيدُ فَإِنَّهُ وَصَلَهُ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ
English Translation
Ahmad ibn al-Miqdam narrated to us saying: Fudayl ibn Sulayman narrated to us saying: Abu Hazim narrated to us from Sahl ibn Sa'd as-Sa'idi (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'I am your forerunner at the Hawd, and whoever comes to it drinks, and whoever drinks from it will never thirst. There will come to me peoples whom I know and who know me, then a barrier will be placed between me and them.' Abu Hazim said: An-Nu'man ibn Abi Ayyash heard me narrating this hadith and said: 'Is this how you heard it from Sahl?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'And I bear witness that I heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri adding to it, saying: He (the Prophet) will say: They are from me. It will be said: You do not know what they innovated after you. So I will say: Away, away with those who changed after me.'
