English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Bazi' informed us, he said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Uthman al-Bakrawi informed us, he said: al-Salt ibn Dinar informed us, from Abu al-Malih, from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The angels descended on the Day of Badr in the likeness of al-Zubayr, wearing yellow turbans. This report has been narrated from persons other than Usamah ibn 'Umayr, and we mentioned it from Usamah ibn 'Umayr since it is not narrated from Usamah except through this route, even though al-Salt is weak in hadith and is from Basra. We have included it in the Musnad even though the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not directly mentioned, because it was something that occurred during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
