English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara', who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «What do you say about the joy of a man whose camel has run away from him in a waterless desert, carrying his food and drink, and he searches for it until exhaustion overcomes him? Then he comes to a tree and lies in its shade, having despaired of his camel. While he is like that, it appears before him. He seizes its reins and says: O Allah, You are my servant and I am Your Lord — making an error out of sheer joy.»
