English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from al-Mughirah, from Abu al-Duha, from Masruq, from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Those who carry the litters are three, and the one carried is the fourth. Two of them are safe and one is destroyed. As for the one being carried, he is finished. As for one of the carriers, he is silent and walks alongside it. The other is seeking the reward and hastening; he is safe. And the third walks behind the funeral, speaking of worldly matters; he has put himself at risk.»
