حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ
English Translation
Amr ibn Ali narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abdullah ibn Murrah, from Masruq, from Abdullah, from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who said: «He is not of us who slaps the cheeks, rends the garments, and cries with the cry of the Age of Ignorance.»
