حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ قَالَ أنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ نا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْوجُوهَ وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ ابْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا زُبَيْدٌ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْوجُوهَ وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ ابْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا زُبَيْدٌ
English Translation
Bishr ibn Khalid al-Askari narrated to us, he said: Ishaq ibn Yusuf informed us, he said: Sufyan al-Thawri narrated to us, from Zubayd, from Ibrahim, from Masruq, from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «He is not of us who slaps the cheeks, rends the garments, and cries with the cry of the Age of Ignorance.» This hadith — we do not know it to be narrated from Ibrahim from Masruq except by Zubayd.
