حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ اسْتَبْطَنَ الْوَادِيَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَرَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةَ وَقَالَ هَذَا مَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ وَقَالَ هَذَا مَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ
English Translation
Amr ibn Ali narrated to us, he stated: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us from al-A'mash from Ibrahim from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Yazid from Hadrat Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that he entered the valley on the Day of Sacrifice and threw the pebble at the Jamrah al-Aqabah, and stated: «This is the standing place of the one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed.»
