English Translation
Ahmad ibn Ishaq al-Ahwazi narrated to us, he said: Abu Ahmad narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Asim, from Zirr: 'And [mention] when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Quran. When they attended it, they said: Listen quietly.' He said: Be silent. He said: They were seven, the eldest of them was Zuba'ah. This hadith — some of the students of Abu Ahmad attributed it to Abdullah, while some of them did not say 'from Abdullah,' only 'from Zirr.'
